SHORT TERM REHABILITATION
A full range of short-term rehab services are available at Mount Carmel. Our Inpatient services include speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy. Our outpatient services include speech therapy, physical, occupational therapy and aquatic therapy in our stationary pool.
We’re a great place to convalesce and receive short term rehab services following injury, surgery or illness. Our physical rehab specialists and caregivers will help you restore maximum function and mobility as soon as possible so you can return to home and family. Sometimes, a loved one might have an episode or illness and temporarily require more help and the aid of therapy. The sub-acute nursing landscape can be challenging to understand, and Mount Carmel Senior Living’s post-hospital discharge care teams will support and guide residents and their families every step of the way. Our staff is extensively trained and can take care of all types of rehabilitation needs, ranging from wound care to diagnosis-specific physician instructions.
Every new resident is medically assessed and the Resident Care Manager will then create their Individualized Care Plan to start them on their path to healing.
RESPITE CARE
Caring for someone at home can be rewarding, but it also requires rest. Our respite care services provide short-term stays in a supportive environment, allowing caregivers to take a break while knowing their loved one is well cared for.
Whether you need support for a few days or several weeks, our guests can enjoy all the amenities our facility offers. Along with nursing support, we provide assistance with daily routines, medication management, and opportunities for meaningful engagement.
RESPIRATORY & WOUND CARE
We have a certified wound care nurse on staff to control and eliminate any infection and ensure that wounds heal up properly. The nurses at Mount Carmel are on duty around the clock, offering respiratory support (oxygen, CPAP, Bi-PAP). Whether your loved one is here for short-term rehab or a long-term stay, rest assured they will receive devoted care from the professionals at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.
SPEECH THERAPY
Speech therapy helps people who have difficulty speaking due to stroke, disability or injury become more effective at communicating. Our speech therapists are available to help Mount Carmel residents and guests in improving pronunciation, strengthening the muscles used in speech, and learning to speak clearly.
REHAB TO HOME
With a rehab-to-home philosophy, we focus on building strength and confidence through functional training, such as walking, transferring, and performing self-care tasks, to support independent and safe living.
We encourage family participation and provide education and home safety assessments to help prepare for a smooth discharge. Our goal is to help you move forward with care and confidence.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Our certified physical therapists are available to help Mount Carmel residents and guests regain as much function and mobility as possible following surgery or injury. Our #1 goal is to bring the people we care for as close to the functionality they once had as possible.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
At Mount Carmel Senior Living Community, our occupational therapists help residents and guests improve motor skills, strength, dexterity, range of motion, and mobility. By gradually improving these key skills, patients will find it easier to complete everyday tasks and gain independence.
SKILLED NURSING
Mount Carmel Senior Living carefully follows your senior’s physician’s instructions, administer care orders, monitor health, and assure that the care needed is provided. Our skilled caregivers work to regularly update care plans to accommodate any changing needs. Skilled nurses are onsite 24 hours a day, ready to provide you with the attention you need.
